字符串是原始类型，一旦字符串被初始化，字符串对象自身得到一个不变的 length 属性（{ [[Writable]]: false, [[Enumerable]]: false, [[Configurable]]: false }）
表示字符串中码元（而非字符）的数量（但字符串上的迭代器按字符迭代）

UTF-16

UTF-16 (16-bit Unicode Transformation Format) 是一种用于表示 Unicode 字符的字符编码。UTF-16 是 Unicode 标准的一部分，并且由 Unicode Consortium 设计。

UTF-16 使用单个 16 位单元或一对这样的单元来表示每个字符。在 Unicode 标准中，这些单元被称为代码单元（码元）。
UTF-16 可以表示 Unicode 标准中的所有字符，包括那些无法用单个 16 位单元表示的字符。

具体来说，UTF-16 的工作方式如下：

对于 U+0000 到 U+FFFF 范围内的字符（基本多语言平面，BMP），UTF-16 使用一个 16 位代码单元来表示。这个代码单元就是字符的 Unicode 码点值。

对于超出这个范围的字符（辅助平面字符），UTF-16 使用一对 16 位代码单元来表示。这对代码单元被称为代理对。

显然 UTF-16 是不定长编码的，编解码过程如下：

编码过程：

对于 U+0000 到 U+FFFF 范围内的字符（基本多语言平面，BMP），直接使用该字符的 Unicode 码点值作为其 UTF-16 编码。
对于超出 U+FFFF 的字符（辅助平面的字符），使用以下步骤进行编码：
- 从字符的 Unicode 码点值中减去 0x10000，得到一个在 0x00000 到 0xFFFFF 范围内的值
- 把这个值分成高位 10 位和低位 10 位两部分
- 把高位 10 位的值加上 0xD800，得到第一个 16 位代码单元
- 把低位 10 位的值加上 0xDC00，得到第二个 16 位代码单元

解码过程：

如果一个 16 位代码单元在 0xD800 到 0xDFFF 之间，那么这个代码单元是一个代理对的一部分。
如果它在 0xD800 到 0xDBFF 之间，那么它是代理对的高位；
如果它在 0xDC00 到 0xDFFF 之间，那么它是代理对的低位。
将高位减去 0xD800，得到一个 10 位的数；将低位减去 0xDC00，得到另一个 10 位的数。
将这两个数合并为一个 20 位的数，然后加上 0x10000，得到字符的 Unicode 码点。
如果一个 16 位代码单元不在 0xD800 到 0xDFFF 之间，那么这个代码单元就是字符的 Unicode 码点。

字节序：

大端：高位字节在前，低位字节在后。例如，Unicode 字符 U+1234 在大端字节序中表示为 12 34。
小端：低位字节在前，高位字节在后。例如，Unicode 字符 U+1234 在小端字节序中表示为 34 12。
字节序标记（BOM，Byte Order Mark）：如果实现了字节序，那么在文本开始处使用一个特殊的字符为字节序标记。在大端字节序中，BOM 是 U+FEFF；在小端字节序中，BOM 是 U+FFFE。（Linux 默认小端）

`String.fromCharCode ( ...codeUnits )`

This function may be called with any number of arguments which form the rest parameter codeUnits.

It performs the following steps when called:

Let result be the empty String.
For each element next of codeUnits, do
a. Let nextCU be the code unit whose numeric value is ℝ(? ToUint16(next)).
b. Set result to the string-concatenation of result and nextCU.
Return result.

The "length" property of this function is 1_𝔽.

`String.fromCodePoint ( ...codePoints )`

This function may be called with any number of arguments which form the rest parameter codePoints.

It performs the following steps when called:

Let result be the empty String.
For each element next of codePoints, do a. Let nextCP be ? ToNumber(next).
b. If IsIntegralNumber(nextCP) is false, throw a RangeError exception.
c. If ℝ(nextCP) < 0 or ℝ(nextCP) > 0x10FFFF, throw a RangeError exception.
d. Set result to the string-concatenation of result and UTF16EncodeCodePoint(ℝ(nextCP)).
Assert: If codePoints is empty, then result is the empty String.
Return result.

The "length" property of this function is 1_𝔽.
